Cute shop, gourmet candy, awesome ice cream

Shaw's is an adorable local shop with elaborate holiday-themed window displays and an assortment of cute little gifts (picture frames, themed salt and pepper shakers, etc). The candy is to die for and you can mix and match your own gift boxes. I go mainly for the ice cream: they have a great selection of Mitchell's flavors. Located on West Portal, it's the perfect place to stop after dinner, a movie, or while running errands.

Pros: Atmosphere, delicious products

Candy specials

I've gone to Shaws for many years and they always have a great selection of chocolates. They are always fresh and always has my favorites in stock. They also carry many gift wrapped candies. Perfect for any occasion. They get really busy around Christmas and Valentines. Great place to stop for a small snack for that sweet tooth.

This is the only place that carries my all time favorite candy. I frequent this shop as often as my schedule allows me to. It's worth the stop because it's near other shops/services but close to a residential area so parking is not too bad.

I LOVE THIS PLACE by Lisa H. at InsiderPages

Ever since I was younger, I have always loved going to this store. They have a great variety of candy and ice cream and the employees are always nice. There are always younger children there from the nearby schools, but, I still enjoy going there because it is a great enviornment. I would definately recommend this shop to anyone.

Ice Cream & More by Gloria M. at InsiderPages

Shaw's is a very nice little store in the West Portal district. They have all sorts of desserts and candies. They even have a bench for you to sit at outside. Usually, there is a small group of people outside chatting. Kids like this place also. This place is a bit expensive, but you get your money worth. The workers here are awesome.
