you know, i'm a hetero gal who grew up here and i am astounded and disgusted by the anti het reviews i have read here! and you wonder why you lost the support of everyone for prop 8!! seriously!! there are more important things in the world to focus your anger on. get a clue and get a life. i'm sorry people have treated you unfairly and that you for some reason think that hets are horrible people, even though you wouldn't be alive without mom and dad boinkin! but do not encourage and continue hate and discrimination, especially not in MY city! i was born and raised here, i like so many san franciscans have fought for human and civil rights and the last thing i need is some angry little faerie who can't get booty on a friday night taking out his anger on me and other hets! if it's so bad here, come to my neighborhood and hang out at the frickin hole in the wall....prmoise..i won't "infect" that place!

I want to ask you this: What would happen if I wrote something like that but inserted gay instead of heterosexual? How would you like that? You are ignorant.

has great mojitos! fresh and a variety! and i'm normally not a drinker. if you dont think about how the cheeses, olives and vegetables were left out the whole night, it's pretty cool haha i havent gotten sick from it yet! :P

What a shame. Once a nice gay bar, it's been invaded by (ugh) heterosexuals -- the fratboy and sorority element, at that. Don't these people have enough places to go without dragging our institutions down to their disgusting levels?

I'm a gay, high end, professional businessman from Las Vegas, and I've been coming to the Lion Pub for about ten years, every time I'm in the City. I certainly regret that the gay character (mostly gay, professional males who live in the area) has beem deminished over the recent years, but at the same time, I'm fascinated to see this "discovery" of a great bar by the apparently straight, female professional class (and there boyfriends), as if it was all something brand new. The Lion Pub was a great bar ten years ago, and I'm sure will remain so (under present ownership) for many years to come. It's fun to hear the Ladies rave about fresh ingredients (ambience, etc.), when many bars have been using fresh lemons,limes & pineapples for an awfully long time. Gee, Gals, you really do need to get out more. Fortunately for the Pub, the Ladies are so together & professional that they would never think to stay in a bar beyoud nine o'clock, thus giving room for the decadent fellas. I've little doubt, that if we get a female president (much to be wished for ), you girls will discover a whole new San Francisco openning up to you. The bottom line is, the Lion Pub is a small gem, and now that gem is known throughout San Francisco. We who love her, give to the City, the Lion Pub as a gift. Who knew?
